Nothing is more international than civil air transport; air safety and airworthiness
standards demand a high degree of international, as well as national, attention from all

The International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA) is an organisation dedicated to
improving aviation safety by increasing international communication awareness and
co-operation on all aspects of airworthiness particularly Continuing Airworthiness.
IFA started from the International Federation of Aircraft Technology and Engineering,
founded in the mid 1960's and adopted its present title in 1975.
Membership is open to corporate organisations and aviation professionals, with over 100
organisations representing:
Promoting world-wide co-operation on airworthiness and continuing airworthiness issues

institution under English law.

General Meeting, attended by representatives of the Corporate Members of IFA, who have
voting rights.
(iii) Future policies of IFA are guided by an Executive Council, the
members of which are elected at Annual General Meetings.

headed by a Director, who conducts the day-to-day business of the Federation.
