IFA Trust Fund
A Trust Fund was established in 1991 to provide a secure source of funds from contributions donated by corporate members with a goal of securing a 1.5 million US Dollars (£1m) investment to fund a full-time IFA Secretariat and cover running costs. This is in order that the IFA could respond to membership and augment the activities of both the Secretariat and the Technical Committee, without having to resort to increased membership subscriptions that might produce an adverse response and lose both membership and resource.
This fund is as yet limited, but the intent is to continue to encourage further contribution so that prudent investment of the monies will generate an income sufficient to support enhanced services and projects
The need for resource is becoming increasingly demanding, and IFA is still looking for further donations. So far such donors as have contributed £150,000 are:
The Boeing Commercial Airplane Group |
Air Niugini |
Rolls Royce PLC |
Honeywell Inc. |
Pratt & Whitney |
Sundstrand Corporation |
GE Aircraft Engines |
Cathay Pacific Airways |
SNECMA |
Cessna Aircraft Company |
These donations have been invested with Barclays Private Bank Ltd., and have now grown to be over £250,000.
